Responsibilities
- Partner with the Climate Programs Manager and customers to understand needs, challenge assumptions, and translate business goals into a practical roadmap.
- Own delivery from problem discovery and technical design through implementation, launch, operation, and iteration.
- Build emissions intelligence into supply-chain decisions involving routing, transport mode, shipment timing, and inventory planning.
- Develop customer-facing products that turn shipment and environmental data into actionable decisions and help reduce emissions.
- Own features across user interfaces, backend services, and data integrations while balancing speed, scope, maintainability, and data accuracy.
- Coordinate with engineering teams on shared systems, integrations, and expertise, and measure whether shipped products solve the underlying problem.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience and a strong foundation delivering production software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, structure ambiguous problems, set priorities, unblock yourself, and follow through without detailed specifications.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to weigh user needs, impact, effort, and technical tradeoffs.
- Experience working closely with business stakeholders and explaining technical choices in plain language.
- Ability to own features across the stack, including user interfaces, backend services, and data integrations.
- Commitment to writing simple, well-tested, maintainable code and taking responsibility for reliability and maintenance.
- Ability to learn quickly, including unfamiliar technologies and business domains.
- Preferred experience includes climate technology, emissions accounting, logistics, supply-chain software, startup or small-team product development, and turning complex data into customer-facing insights.
