Software Engineer III – DevOps AWS Platform Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and ECS Fargate.
- Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code for automated provisioning and configuration management.
- Implement observability through logging, tracing, metrics, alerting, ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Build and manage CI/CD and continual automation deployment environments using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar platforms.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
- Implement disaster recovery through multi-region deployments, backups, and failover mechanisms.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and ensure smooth application deployment and operation.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering and/or DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Bash, Shell, or Python.
- Strong AWS expertise, including EC2, S3, EKS, ECS Fargate, VPC, IAM, networking Atlas 2.0, and rule engines such as IBM ODM.
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code and Kubernetes or ECS for container orchestration.
- Experience designing observability solutions and automating complex CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with cloud security best practices.
- Preferred: IBM ODM deployment and containerization experience, AI and Copilot concepts, and AWS certifications.
