Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions and collaborate with digital product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams.
- Use programming languages, databases, containers, orchestration services, and AWS tools to deliver software.
- Provide technical leadership, establish development and design standards, mentor engineers, and contribute to technology communities.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and distributed systems performance optimization.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
