Responsibilities
- Guide strategic customers toward successful implementations of big data projects, including architectural and security design and development and deployment best practices.
- Assist Solution Architects with advanced technical-sale activities, including custom proof-of-concept content, workload sizing, and custom architectures.
- Architect production-level cloud-native governed workloads.
- Provide technical expertise on cloud infrastructure and security for the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Support customers in designing and implementing Databricks security data platforms.
- Lead workshops, hackathons, and conference presentations to drive adoption.
- Contribute to the broader Databricks community and serve as a deep technical expert for the specialty area.
Requirements
- Pre-sales or post-sales experience supporting external customers or internal clients and stakeholders.
- At least 4 years of experience designing cloud infrastructure, cloud security, and related services.
- Experience architecting, designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud networks and connectivity, including VPC/VNet design, routing, segmentation, and private connectivity.
- Experience with identity and access management, role-based access control, least-privilege principles, and identity-provider integrations.
- Hands-on experience automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform or cloud-specific resource management tools such as ARM and CloudFormation.
- Experience designing and implementing security lakehouses or security data platforms on Databricks for SIEM augmentation, security analytics, threat hunting, and advanced detections.
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, vibe coding, and agentic tools.
- Foundational knowledge of large-scale processing and analytical engines for data pipeline architecture design.
- Databricks certifications are advantageous.
