Base Salary
$160k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product to identify user needs, challenge assumptions, and develop practical solutions.
- Design and build intuitive interfaces with coherent workflows and consistent user experiences.
- Lead cross-stack features and substantial refactors while managing dependencies and broader system impacts.
- Ensure the correctness and security of software, including AI-assisted output, through testing and verification.
- Improve system resilience and observability to enable rapid failure detection, containment, and resolution.
- Mentor engineers through collaborative problem-solving, technical guidance, and code review.
- Drive improvements to architecture, tooling, and engineering practices that reduce complexity and improve product quality.
Requirements
- 12+ years of engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience building production applications with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Practical UX/UI design skills with solid HTML and CSS fundamentals.
- Experience independently delivering complex features and substantial refactors in established codebases.
- Sound data modeling and SQL skills, including understanding impacts on stored data, calculations, and reporting.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, state, memory behavior, correctness, and performance trade-offs.
- Clear technical communication and experience helping engineers develop their judgment.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or another relevant field is preferred.
- Bonus: experience developing and testing Rust applications.
- Bonus: systems or performance-sensitive development experience with C++, Go, C#, or Java.
- Bonus: experience building interfaces with Tailwind CSS.
- Bonus: experience translating security, data integrity, and compliance requirements into engineering controls, including SOC 2, GxP-regulated systems, or 21 CFR Part 11.
