Base Salary
$250k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build self-service APIs, templates, and golden paths for CI/CD, environments, and observability.
- Add test and regression gates, progressive delivery, rollback, supply-chain and policy checks, and cost attribution to the platform.
- Run the platform as an internal product by setting its roadmap and measuring adoption, delivery speed, stability, and developer satisfaction.
- Lead migrations, automate migration work, complete final-stage adoption, and sunset outdated platforms.
- Manage platform stakeholders, bring shadow platforms onto supported paths, and make cloud costs visible to engineering teams.
- Set technical direction, evolve the platform, and coach Senior Engineers through design collaboration and review.
- Own reliability practices including SLOs, observability, on-call, and incident response.
Requirements
- Combine software engineering expertise in clean abstractions and APIs with systems engineering depth in cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure as code.
- Demonstrate ownership of reliability practices, including SLOs, observability, on-call, and incident response.
- Have current hands-on production coding experience and the ability to research, prototype, and deliver pragmatic solutions.
- Have experience completing complex, long-running migrations and intentionally sunsetting platforms.
- Be able to establish technical direction and drive initiatives across the organization.
- Preferred experience includes HIPAA, PHI, SOC 2, or HITRUST environments.
- Preferred experience includes transforming infrastructure or DevOps teams into product-minded platform teams.
- Preferred experience includes scalable platform support, developer advocacy, and making cloud or CI costs actionable.
