Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex Appian applications supporting enterprise workflows.
- Lead remediation, conversion, and modernization of custom Appian plugins and support Appian platform upgrades.
- Troubleshoot complex Appian, integration, plugin, infrastructure, production, and deployment issues.
- Develop reusable components, shared frameworks, integration standards, and technical solutions.
- Support integrations involving APIs, web services, databases, and external enterprise systems.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, estimation, release planning, and dependency management.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, knowledge transfer, and guidance to Appian development teams.
- Support performance optimization, scalability, operational stability, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, QA teams, architects, stakeholders, and technical leadership in Agile delivery.
- Evaluate and provide guidance on Appian AI capabilities, including AI-assisted workflows and platform features.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 4 years of hands-on Appian development experience.
- At least 4 years supporting Appian application development in Agile software delivery environments.
- At least 4 years troubleshooting Appian applications in self-managed or on-premises Linux environments, including reviewing application and server logs.
- At least 4 years supporting integrations involving APIs, web services, databases, and external systems.
- At least 4 years using Git, GitLab, and modern source control workflows.
- US citizenship or a Green Card is required, and applicants must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- Applicants must reside in and perform the work within the United States.
- Preferred qualifications include Appian Certified Senior Developer or Appian Certified Lead Developer certification.
- Preferred experience includes Java-based Appian plugin development, SQL, software architecture, secure coding, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, REST/SOAP integrations, and Appian AI capabilities.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, independent working, mentoring, collaboration, and technical leadership skills are preferred.
