Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based real-time payment processing components.
- Implement and maintain message-driven integrations using MQ, Kafka, and APIs.
- Process ISO 20022 payment messages, including pacs.008, pacs.002, and camt messages.
- Own user stories end to end, including analysis, development, testing, release, and production support.
- Participate in incident analysis, root-cause investigations, and production improvements.
- Collaborate with SREs, product owners, and global engineering teams.
- Contribute to performance, resilience, scalability, security, audit, and IT risk requirements.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and demonstrate delivered functionality to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Java development experience, including Java 17 and Java 21.
- Experience or working exposure with Kafka.
- Experience with Java frameworks including Spring and Spring Boot.
- Experience with CI/CD tools; the team will use AzDO.
- Some experience with XML, XSL, and XSD.
- Experience working with TDD and BDD.
- Strong analysis and communication skills, with an openness to feedback.
- Experience with Scrum and a strong preference for agile ways of working.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 standards is a plus.
- Project experience in financial market group treasury is a plus.
- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, and logging or alerting tools is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT-related field is nice to have.
