Base Salary

$113k - $257k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable full-stack applications.
  • Design and develop APIs, microservices, and distributed systems for high-performance mission-critical applications.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product managers, designers, architects, and engineers.
  • Drive software architecture decisions, engineering standards, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Build responsive user interfaces and maintainable, testable, reusable software.
  • Design and optimize data models, persistence layers, and application integrations.
  • Champion automated testing, code quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor engineers through technical coaching, architecture guidance, and career development.
  • Partner with DevOps engineers on reliable deployment, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering practices and platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leading the design and delivery of complex software systems.
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows, automated testing, Agile software development, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Bicep, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevOps or DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across development teams.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; existing Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred experience with Nx or Turborepo, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React, relational or NoSQL databases, regulated development environments, NIST 800-53, STIGs, software supply-chain security, OpenTelemetry, observability platforms, and distributed tracing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
