Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, train, deploy, and optimize machine learning models, algorithms, and pipelines for data processing, training, and inference.
- Lead experimental ML initiatives, technology evaluation, prototyping, AI transformation planning, and strategic adoption of emerging technologies.
- Develop AI/ML-powered solutions for business and customer use cases across structured, unstructured, image, video, and audio data.
- Build agentic workflows for autonomous training, data pipelines, multi-step analysis, and analytical problem solving.
- Establish AI governance practices covering bias detection, interpretability, compliance monitoring, model accuracy, and responsible deployment.
- Improve ML infrastructure, monitoring, reliability, scalability, documentation, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to integrate models, translate insights into business value, and communicate technical results.
- Mentor teams, promote responsible AI adoption, share best practices, and foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead research collaboration, partnership development, thought leadership, and potential technical publications or whitepapers.
Requirements
- At least six years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with six years of machine learning experience, or a master’s degree with four years, a Ph.D. with one year, or 18 years of related experience without a degree.
- Deep expertise in multiple machine learning domains and familiarity with emerging research areas.
- Proficiency with GitHub Copilot, Claude, and GPT-4 for ML development, including validating AI-generated outputs for production readiness.
- Knowledge of AWS AgentSquad, AWS Strands, LangChain, agent patterns, AI ethics, responsible AI, and governance frameworks.
- Experience with technology evaluation, competitive analysis, strategic planning, product prioritization, cross-team collaboration, and dependency management.
- Experience with Rally, Jira, or similar tools.
- Proven success leading innovative projects from concept through proof of concept and sharing knowledge through publications, speaking, or similar activities.
- Experience building or leading high-performing research or innovation teams and collaborating with research communities and partners.
- Strong communication, analytical, consulting, requirements analysis, system integration, technology evaluation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes corporate research labs, innovation teams, technology consulting, technology transfer, breakthrough technology implementation, LLMs, agents, foundation models, multimodal AI, or quantum ML.
