Base Salary
$200k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop multimodal model architectures for perception, reasoning, and action using inputs such as vision, language, and proprioception.
- Build models that learn structured representations of objects, dynamics, interactions, and the surrounding world.
- Advance multimodal fusion, alignment, cross-modal reasoning, generalization, robustness, and long-horizon reasoning capabilities.
- Own work across the model lifecycle, including research, prototyping, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with pretraining, video, generative, reinforcement learning, and robot learning teams to integrate modeling advances into the autonomy stack.
- Design experiments and evaluation frameworks to understand model behavior and guide iteration.
- Contribute to new modeling paradigms for embodied AI systems.
Requirements
- Experience designing and training deep learning models for vision, language, or multimodal systems.
- Strong understanding of modern model architectures, including transformers and related approaches.
- Experience improving model performance through architectural innovation and experimentation.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Strong experimental rigor and ability to iterate on model design and performance.
- Solid software engineering skills for building reliable, maintainable systems.
- Ability to work independently and drive ambiguous, high-impact technical problems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with vision-language or vision-language-action models, representation learning, world models, structured prediction, frontier models, embodied AI, robotics, large-scale training, distributed systems, or relevant research publications.
