Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture of ingestion pipelines and administration tools.
  • Design error handling, recovery, and monitoring mechanisms for internal data connectors.
  • Lead development and evolution of the platform’s MCP server.
  • Identify deployment bottlenecks and build automation to improve deployment speed.
  • Define observability standards including instrumentation, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level team members on tooling and software reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing production tools, data pipelines, or internal platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python for backend services, FastAPI or Flask, automation scripts, and connectors.
  • Experience designing reliable ingestion pipelines with idempotency, error handling, retries, and monitoring.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS services including EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM/IRSA, and Secrets Manager.
  • Experience with Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Experience with Flux or Argo CD and GitLab CI.
  • Proficiency with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, comfort with ambiguity, and strong communication skills with diverse client teams.
