Responsibilities
- Develop benchmarking frameworks for compilation and execution pipelines, quantum-resource tracking, and quantum-software profiling.
- Build high-performance software components for new hardware platforms and programming paradigms.
- Implement abstract quantum algorithms as efficient and understandable software.
- Participate in software specification, architecture, documentation, verification, validation, and quality assurance.
- Provide leadership in continuous integration, unit testing, code review, and software best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field.
- Demonstrated education or training in quantum computing.
- Proficiency in Modern C++ and Python.
- Deep understanding of CPU, GPU, and memory hierarchy, with hands-on optimization using tools such as perf, scalane, and valgrind.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across compiled and interpreted environments using industry-standard debuggers.
- Preferred qualifications include an MSc or PhD, extensive quantum-computing coursework or publications, quantum-workflow optimization, parallelization and accelerator experience, low-level systems programming, and scalable scientific workloads on HPC, supercomputer, or cloud platforms.
Benefits
- Base salary is CAD 120,000–160,000 depending on location, experience, and internal benchmarks.
