Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership across multiple engineering pods and domains.
- Drive architecture and system design for secure, resilient, performant cloud-native services.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and clinical stakeholders on technical direction.
- Mentor engineers and guide architectural, technical-growth, and system-level thinking.
- Champion code quality, testability, design standards, technical reviews, and engineering excellence.
- Evaluate frameworks, tools, and integration strategies for scale and interoperability.
- Develop technical guidelines, reference implementations, documentation, and AI integration approaches.
- Lead discovery and prototyping for integrations and data-flow challenges involving FHIR, HL7, and Kafka.
- Influence multi-team projects to deliver reliable, secure, and performant systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor ’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3+ years in a senior, staff, or principal-level role.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native services with .NET Core and C#.
- Experience with React or Angular and modern front-end development.
- Strong knowledge of domain-driven design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and saga patterns.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or comparable messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or AWS SNS/SQS.
- Hands-on experience architecting solutions on Azure or AWS, including serverless functions, messaging queues, managed databases, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Ability to lead initiatives improving scalability, performance, reliability, and developer experience.
- Understanding of CI/CD, observability, DevSecOps, and secrets management best practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience applying FHIR, HL7, or X12 in healthcare systems.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML services and cross-cloud or hybrid-cloud architecture patterns.
