Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver scalable, maintainable, secure software using Angular, Java, Python, SQL, and related frameworks.
- Build and improve web applications, APIs, microservices, and platform capabilities for business and technology users.
- Evolve infrastructure, hosting environments, and deployment pipelines using OpenShift, GitLab CI/CD, and related DevOps tools.
- Implement unit, integration, and automated testing practices and maintain code quality through reviews and static analysis.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Manage operational risk, strengthen controls, contribute to policies and procedures, and communicate complex technical information.
- Lead or guide complex assignments, coach team members where applicable, and influence cross-functional outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience developing web applications with Angular and Java or Python APIs.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL programming and MS SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift integrated with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with automated unit testing frameworks integrated with SonarQube.
- Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Angular Material, RxJS, and NgRx.
- Knowledge of Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA or Hibernate, Maven or Gradle, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Knowledge of Python 3.x, FastAPI or Flask, Poetry or Pip, and object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of JSON, OpenAPI or Swagger, OAuth2, JWT, and Postman.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or SQL Server, data modelling, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of Git, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, OpenShift, Playwright, Cypress, and test-driven development fundamentals.
- Understanding of software design patterns, secure coding, software development life cycle practices, code reviews, debugging, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Good problem-solving, stakeholder interaction, machine learning, and generative AI knowledge.
- Experience with GenAI-powered applications, preferably using Claude models, is highly valued.
- Additional valued skills include AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, MQ, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Pandas, Spark, LangChain, GitLab Duo, Claude Code, and Copilot-assisted development.
