Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain event-driven infrastructure with event buses, schema management, messaging integrations, error handling, and reliable event processing.
- Develop resilient backend integrations with internal and third-party services using circuit breakers, retries, timeouts, and backoff strategies.
- Design backend capabilities for credit management, including event models, system integrations, and automated workflows.
- Build event-driven reporting solutions using data from multiple business domains to support reports, approval workflows, and business insights.
- Develop greenfield backend services, domains, architectures, RESTful APIs, and distributed-service integrations.
- Support production readiness, performance validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, traffic migration, and controlled rollout of new services.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS EventBridge and event-driven architecture, including event schema design, Schema Registry, dead-letter queues, replay, and reliable event processing.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services with resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, timeouts, and backoff strategies.
- Experience with domain and event modeling, ideally in lending or credit-risk domains, and the ability to design scalable event schemas and data models.
- Experience building data and reporting integrations, including reporting databases, data pipelines, business intelligence tools such as Tableau, and event-driven reporting workflows.
- Experience designing and developing greenfield backend services and establishing new domains, services, and architectures without legacy implementations.
- Strong backend engineering experience developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations using scalable and maintainable design practices.
- Experience with AWS messaging and integration services such as SQS and reliable asynchronous communication between distributed services.
- Experience with production readiness and system validation, including performance testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and controlled traffic rollout.
- Experience in lending, financial services, or risk management is a preferred qualification.
