Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of data pipelines.
- Build and maintain scalable data solutions for HelloFresh’s global platform and Growth Alliance.
- Optimize data pipeline performance and reliability.
- Apply data quality assurance, monitoring, testing, continuous integration, and application tuning practices.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Product Owners, software engineers, analysts, and business intelligence teams.
- Provide technical support, mentorship, coaching, and practical knowledge to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Solid data engineering experience designing, implementing, and delivering maintainable, high-quality Python and SQL code.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing and data processing technologies including PySpark, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Expertise in data modeling, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, object stores such as AWS S3, and data platforms such as Databricks.
- Proven experience building efficient and robust data pipelines and optimizing their performance.
- Experience with end-to-end development processes, including unit, integration, and functional testing, application tuning and profiling, and continuous integration.
- Extensive experience with agile methodologies, delivery, lean thinking, and rapid iteration.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate, learn continuously, and mentor team members.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and subscription-based businesses is preferred.
- Interest in using AI tools to improve collaboration and execution.
