Base Salary
$91k - $131k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, maintain, and operate scalable software systems and services.
- Lead technical design and delivery for distributed systems, including architecture reviews, service decomposition, API design, event-driven integrations, and data modeling.
- Own services end to end through implementation, CI/CD automation, deployment, observability, operational health, and production support.
- Use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve development, testing, and documentation while validating generated output.
- Develop automated unit, integration, contract, and edge-case test suites and maintain high code-quality standards.
- Monitor and improve production reliability, availability, performance, and operational health using telemetry, logging, and metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, security, and business stakeholders and document systems, APIs, and operational processes.
- Apply responsible AI principles, including privacy, transparency, auditability, governance, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development, quality engineering, test automation, DevOps, or a related technical role.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of Java, C#, Python, Go, or Kotlin.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, testing methodologies, and system design principles.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Agile development workflows, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; observability and production operations; automated testing; compliance-sensitive systems; and AI-powered capabilities such as LLM APIs, intelligent automation, or agentic workflows.
- Preferred understanding of responsible AI principles and ability to drive projects independently and influence technical direction across teams.
