Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
- Develop distributed applications and event-driven architectures using Java and Apache Kafka.
- Design cloud-native applications and manage robust infrastructure and deployment pipelines using cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, stakeholders, and distributed teams to define requirements and align technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and implement effective unit testing practices.
- Mentor and guide development teams and less experienced specialists while providing technical direction.
- Manage technical risks and strengthen controls related to the team’s work.
- Stay current with technology trends and contribute to technology communities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Hands-on Java development experience with proven expertise in enterprise-level applications.
- Strong technical leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding development teams.
- Experience driving distributed application development across multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Extensive hands-on experience in distributed system design and architecture.
- Proficiency with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud-native application development.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot is valued.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices is valued.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks is valued.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack is valued.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams is valued.
