Responsibilities

  • Investigate complex technical escalations and lead high-stakes customer calls to resolve critical issues.
  • Develop deep expertise in Datadog Network Monitoring, including Network Device Monitoring, SNMP, Cloud Network Monitoring, and Network Path.
  • Run office hours, deliver learning sessions, and mentor the Global Support Engineering team.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to identify gaps, drive platform improvements, and advocate for customers.
  • Build tooling, sandboxes, and automations to streamline debugging and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting network-specific issues and navigating containerized environments.
  • Hands-on system-level troubleshooting and administration experience across Linux, Windows, and macOS, including processes, services, networking, file systems, kernels, and eBPF.
  • Familiarity with command-line interfaces, APIs, and YAML or JSON configuration files.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems independently, collaborate effectively, mentor others, and maintain a client-centric approach.
  • Computer science or engineering major is a bonus qualification.
  • Experience with Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Datadog, or similar observability platforms is preferred.
