Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering architecture and design reviews and maintain high standards for software quality.
- Collaborate with product designers to turn mobile UI designs into functional Android solutions.
- Drive the mobile software lifecycle from prototyping through commercialization and post-launch support.
- Interface with cloud services and remote data sources for cross-platform integration.
- Set technical standards through code and design reviews.
- Mentor engineers and support their technical growth.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
- Improve engineering processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and long-term planning.
- Build robust, stable, mission-critical software for robotic command and control.
- Collaborate with other groups to align goals and deliver innovative solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of industry experience shipping Android applications to the Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of mobile phones and experience leading mobile design reviews through implementation, release, and post-release monitoring.
- Experience with modern Android architectures such as MVVM and MVI, including unit testing.
- Experience with Retrofit, Coroutines, OkHttp, Hilt, and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience working with remote data through REST and JSON.
- Understanding of networking protocols including TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, Server-Sent Events, and WebSockets.
- Experience debugging with Wireshark or Charles is a plus.
