Sr Software Engineer
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Design, build, deliver, and maintain software applications and services.
- Analyze requirements, estimate work, document procedures, and implement software throughout the software lifecycle.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, whiteboarding, and definition of interfaces between code modules.
- Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation.
- Apply data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and existing technologies to software designs.
- Collaborate with Product Line Leaders to understand product requirements and vision.
- Provide technical leadership, remove project obstacles, mentor team members, and delegate work.
- Work effectively with global teams and communicate with senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major for roles outside the USA.
- At least 6 years of experience for roles outside the USA.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, software design patterns, and C# coding principles.
- Hands-on experience with web services, .NET, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on web development experience with React or Angular, with React preferred.
- AWS experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, estimation, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership abilities.
