Responsibilities
- Develop and configure STARLIMS solutions to address customer requirements.
- Install, upgrade, configure, test, document, and support Laboratory Information Management Systems and related workflows.
- Configure business rules, system and instrument interfaces, reports, queries, data migrations, and validation tests.
- Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to plan and execute customer solutions.
- Provide technical support, resolve problems, establish service levels, and coordinate operational activities.
- Prepare prototypes and demonstrations, incorporate customer feedback, and make recommendations for improved system operations.
- Define system procedures and support training and coaching for personnel.
- Discuss complex technical issues with customers and make binding decisions within the area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Computer Science or a similar engineering degree, including Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with programming languages, preferably JavaScript, Java, JScript .NET, or C#.
- 5+ years of experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
- 5+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or another database system.
- Experience with database monitoring and querying tools such as TOAD and SQL.
- Ability to travel 10–40% locally or internationally as required by project assignments.
