Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery on client projects and set standards for quality and performance.
- Design and implement robust kdb+ architectures handling billions of rows of time-series data.
- Collaborate with quants, traders, and analysts to translate business needs into performant code.
- Develop, test, support, and maintain client applications across the full development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
- Drive innovation in kdb+, q, and emerging technologies.
- Make technical decisions and communicate complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on kdb+ development experience with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
- Proven experience designing kdb+ architectures and scaling kdb+ systems in production.
- Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making experience in fast-paced projects.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to clean, performant code.
- Bonus qualifications include experience with Claude, Co-Pilot, Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, other time-series databases, tick data, real-time analytics, electronic trading systems, people management, or team leadership.
