AI Engineer - Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Design, build, validate, and deploy agentic AI solutions and experiences in enterprise customer environments.
- Develop AI agents using prompts, reasoning, tool calls, integrations, and Salesforce's Agentic AI platform.
- Own technical components end-to-end from architecture selection through observable production deployment.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Model data, validate pipeline outputs, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Develop proofs of concept and MVPs, co-build solutions with customers and partners, and share enablement and best practices.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience and at least one production system to demonstrate.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to deliver quality code, evaluate AI outputs rigorously, and collaborate with sales teams and customer architects.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Preferred: Salesforce platform experience or certifications, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, cloud data platform experience, and experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
