Base Salary
$80k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions of moderate to high complexity for backend systems and vendor integrations.
- Explore and conceptualize technical solutions, create technical stories, identify cross-team dependencies, and support delivery from ideation through launch.
- Mentor junior and senior developers, coach team members, and document systems for production support and development partners.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, vendors, and engineers to integrate solutions across backend processes.
- Identify functional issues, technical risks, system needs, and mitigation strategies.
- Independently manage multiple projects and tasks while prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
- Research and document the current technical state of systems through user and technology-team discussions and existing documentation.
- Use AI platforms and modern tools to develop innovative solutions and improve processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub, including branching strategies, code reviews, conflict resolution, Pull Requests, and Actions.
- Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, distributed databases, and in-memory caching using MemSQL.
- Proficiency with Java, Core Java, Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing best practices.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, solve complex systems and process problems, and make sound technical decisions.
- Strong visual and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or Claude Code is preferred.
- Experience with frontend development using TypeScript or JavaScript is preferred.
- Experience managing project baselines and changes is preferred.
- Financial or wealth management industry experience and financial security reference-data experience are preferred.
