Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end technical design and architectural decisions for the Vehicle Data Platform.
Develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and related backend technologies.
Design and operate high-throughput, event-driven, and streaming systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Define technical strategy, roadmaps, strategic goals, and execution themes while leading sprint planning.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to engineers.
Coordinate with application development, business intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and product management teams.
Troubleshoot critical production incidents, lead root-cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
Enforce best practices for code quality, testing, monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
4–7 years of relevant programming and software development experience focused on cloud-native and data-intensive applications.
Hands-on expertise with Java, including Core Java and Spring Boot, or equivalent modern backend languages.
Strong experience designing, developing, and deploying high-throughput event-driven and streaming systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL and NoSQL databases including Redis and MongoDB.
Ability to lead end-to-end design decisions, define technical strategy, and mentor developers.
Experience with a major public cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud Platform, is preferred.
Experience defining and managing pipelines with tools such as Devtron and implementing instrumentation for monitoring, logging, and tracing is preferred.
