Base Salary
$126k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable, reusable software components with emphasis on performance and reliability.
- Build solutions for accessing data across multiple databases and data lakes.
- Translate product requirements into well-architected solutions and own features from design through delivery.
- Contribute to new products and enhancements to existing capabilities.
- Integrate automated testing and develop functional, regression, integration, and performance test strategies.
- Participate in design and code reviews and promote engineering quality, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience, an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Backend development proficiency with Java.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, and TestNG and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of reliability, observability, and production-readiness principles.
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems, optimizing performance, and working with relational databases.
- Knowledge of cloud-based and distributed systems, data modeling, and data storage technologies.
- Experience with Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, Trino, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience using AI-powered tools and development tools including IDEs, debuggers, profilers, source control, and Unix-based systems.
