Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and actionable insights.
- Design and implement data-driven solutions for business and operational problems.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot.
- Apply multithreading and concurrency techniques to improve application performance, responsiveness, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain reliable, accurate, and traceable data pipelines.
- Work with databases, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform for data access, integration, storage, and analysis.
- Use Hadoop, Spark, and related technologies for large-scale data processing.
- Collaborate with business, technology, data, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Investigate and resolve software, data-quality, integration, performance, and production issues.
- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, testing, documentation, production support, and sustainable cloud-resource usage.
Requirements
- Approximately 4–5 years of professional experience in data analysis, data-driven decision-making, software development, or a related role.
- Strong Java development experience, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, concurrency, multithreading, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience developing microservices with Spring Boot and designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of relational data modeling, SQL, joins, indexing, transactions, normalization, query performance, and Java database integration.
- Experience designing or supporting data pipelines and analyzing large datasets and data quality.
- Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, distributed data stores, data warehousing, data lakes, batch processing, or streaming data.
- Experience with source control, code review, defect tracking, build processes, automated testing, software development life cycle practices, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorization, access controls, encryption, secure API design, privacy, compliance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Preferred qualifications include Java 11 or later, distributed high-volume processing, Spring Cloud, messaging, event-driven systems, containers, infrastructure automation, monitoring, continuous integration and delivery, data visualization, static analysis, performance testing, and relevant certifications or data-intensive industry experience.
