Responsibilities
- Build production AI agents with TypeScript services on AWS using Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Bedrock, Strands, LangGraph, and AI SDKs.
- Define agent behavior, sandbox model actions, restrict tool access, and enforce budget and timeout controls.
- Build golden sets, production replays, calibrated judges, and release gates based on recall, precision, and false-positive rates.
- Implement structured logs, reason-coded metrics, alerts, and production investigation workflows using Splunk and VictoriaMetrics.
- Maintain Terraform roots across environments and improve GitLab CI/CD for build, test, deployment, and quality gates.
- Build integrations that handle retries, rate limits, permanent failures, and stale state.
- Review AI-generated code for security, correctness, and maintainability, and enable teams through assistants, skills, hooks, and MCP servers.
- Build React interfaces and APIs for agent-facing summaries, dashboards, and internal tooling.
- Document systems with architecture and sequence diagrams, runbooks, and decision records.
Requirements
- Strong production experience with React and TypeScript, including Node.js, asynchronous patterns, testing, and monorepo tooling.
- Working proficiency with Python for backend services, evaluations, analysis, and automation.
- Hands-on AWS experience across serverless and broader architectural components, including containers, networking, compute, and IAM.
- Production experience shipping LLM API features involving prompts, tool calling, structured output, and long context, including release evaluation.
- Ability to read and safely modify Terraform configurations across environments.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL stores, schema changes, and live-system migrations.
- Ability to design metrics, logs, and alarms for non-deterministic systems and debug production issues.
- Proficiency with modern CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitLab CI/CD.
- Fluent written and spoken English and the ability to explain trade-offs and align teams around technical decisions.
- Desirable experience with multi-agent systems, MCP servers, evaluation frameworks, LLM cost controls, prompt-injection defense, agent security, GraphQL, code intelligence or retrieval, Kubernetes, AWS AppSync, EventBridge, Playwright, or Cucumber.
- Claude Certified Developer or Claude Certified Architect certification is desirable.
