Responsibilities
- Maintain a reliable, scalable, and highly available production platform supporting 24/7 trucking and logistics operations.
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical services.
- Build and improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry.
- Manage and tune Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
- Automate operational work using Python, Go, or Bash.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and Helm.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and blue/green and canary deployments.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, troubleshoot production issues, and conduct blameless post-mortems.
- Monitor and tune PostgreSQL performance, backups, and high availability.
- Plan capacity, test resilience, and help reduce cloud costs.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or production infrastructure roles.
- Strong production experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, and Jaeger.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm, or similar tools.
- Scripting or coding skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
- Strong Linux and networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP, and TLS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
- Experience handling production incidents and writing root-cause analyses.
- Preferred experience with Istio, Consul, Linkerd, PostgreSQL administration and tuning, .NET Core applications, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or AWS/Azure DevOps Engineer are preferred.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or another 24/7 operations environment is a plus.
