Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable, resilient, and performant software and data pipelines.
- Drive architecture, product design, technical decisions, and operational processes across multiple teams.
- Develop high-quality code and conduct rigorous reviews focused on maintainability, security, and engineering excellence.
- Establish governance and validation standards for responsible AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Partner with product, data, risk, and operations stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Design analytics-ready data assets, including curated datasets, semantic layers, and metric definitions.
- Optimize distributed processing and data modeling to improve throughput, cost efficiency, and reliability.
- Strengthen observability and data quality through monitoring, alerting, lineage, and measurable service-level outcomes.
- Mentor and coach engineers while raising expectations for engineering rigor and delivery discipline.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Experience leading the design and delivery of complex cloud-native software or data engineering solutions in production.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, performance tuning, distributed processing, and data modeling patterns.
- Experience building and maintaining analytics-ready data products with quality, consistency, and governance.
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Experience guiding teams on safe and compliant use of AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
- Understanding of secure engineering, data sensitivity handling, and resiliency expectations in enterprise environments.
- Ability to independently solve ambiguous technical problems and influence outcomes through technical leadership.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; Docker; Kubernetes; Apache Spark; Databricks; Kafka; Airflow; dbt; Delta Lake; Apache Iceberg; Apache Hudi; SQL performance tuning; Terraform; monitoring; alerting; and reliability engineering.
