Responsibilities
- Develop pricing methods and support pricing tools for trading and business groups.
- Analyze and support day-to-day pricing, PnL, PnL explainability, and risk issues.
- Support market risk, credit risk, VaR, and CCAR requirements in collaboration with risk-domain teams.
- Work with traders, quants, model valuation, operations, and development teams on OTC derivatives applications.
- Perform impact analysis for discounting methodology changes, including SOFR and ESTER implementations.
- Create and implement system testing procedures and support code testing.
- Provide application software development services and technical support for a specific business group.
- Consult with IT management and technical staff on emerging technologies and associated services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 10-12+ years of experience with OTC derivatives or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience running, managing, or configuring OTC trade-processing, pricing, or risk-management tools.
- Software development knowledge is required.
- Understanding of OTC products including CDS, IRS, swaptions, caps/floors, FX swaps, cross-currency swaps, and exotic products.
- Ability to perform impact analysis based on discounting methodologies and understand SOFR/ESTER implementation changes.
- Understanding of OTC product lifecycle management, testing concepts and frameworks, and curve construction for pricing.
- Proficiency with SQL and a scripting language is desired.
- Understanding of FpML/XML and proficiency with the SUMMIT trading system are desired.
- Highly quantitative knowledge for analyzing pricing-domain issues and providing solutions is desired.
