Responsibilities
- Provide cloud platform and infrastructure expertise and solve complex technical challenges.
- Design and implement cloud architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations with customers.
- Advise customers and troubleshoot technical issues across the technology stack.
- Create best-practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Product Engineering to improve Google Cloud products and features.
- Travel up to 30% in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience writing, reading, and debugging code in a general-purpose language and working with virtualization and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience administering Linux/Unix systems and debugging across the hardware/software boundary on enterprise-grade server infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting, advocating for customer needs, and triaging issues involving hardware, low-level software, networking, virtualization, kernel drivers, firmware, and performance.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems and common solutions, design patterns, or best practices.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML computing hardware, including GPUs or other accelerators.
- Preferred familiarity with Kubernetes or Slurm in on-premises or cloud environments.
- Preferred experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and understanding of the AI/ML training and inference lifecycle.
