Responsibilities
- Implement the context graph data layer, including schemas, entity and relationship management, versioning, and temporal memory records.
- Build streaming and batch ingestion pipelines with idempotency, ordering, schema evolution, and replay support.
- Develop entity resolution and deduplication across customers, accounts, and interactions.
- Implement hybrid retrieval using graph traversal, vector k-NN, metadata filtering, caching, pagination, and strict latency budgets.
- Build and maintain REST/gRPC APIs and internal SDKs with authentication, rate limiting, MCP-compatible tool surfaces, and multi-tenant scoping.
- Own query profiling, index design, load testing, capacity planning, and cost tuning across graph and vector stores.
- Implement data lifecycle controls including TTL, decay policies, archival, tenant-scoped deletion, and audit logging.
- Write tests, runbooks, and operational dashboards and participate in platform on-call.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience in Python, Go, or Java/Kotlin building production services at meaningful scale.
- Hands-on experience with Neptune, Neo4j, ArangoDB, or modeling highly connected data in relational or NoSQL stores.
- Practical experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, pgvector, or a dedicated vector database, including index tuning and relevance debugging.
- Strong data pipeline experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent systems and exactly-once or idempotent processing patterns.
- Solid AWS experience with EKS or Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CDK.
- Experience with API design, testing, observability, metrics, tracing, and secure multi-tenant service patterns.
- Preferred experience with entity resolution, identity graphs, CDPs, master data management, RAG systems, LLM-serving infrastructure, or compliance-sensitive data.
- Familiarity with Gremlin, openCypher, or SPARQL is preferred.
