Responsibilities
- Develop a distributed, resilient, highly performant network security product for large-scale enterprise deployments.
- Design and deliver new features and improvements that enhance functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Create functional specifications, design documents, and test plans while maintaining code quality and thorough testing.
- Own projects end to end with a geographically distributed team and minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with development, testing, documentation, and product management teams.
- Mentor junior team members and participate in technical knowledge-sharing events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
- 7+ years of software development experience focused on distributed systems architecture.
- Advanced programming proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
- Professional experience developing networking or security products using technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, VLAN, IP, ICMP, and DNS.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, multithreaded and multiprocess applications, IPC, and RPC.
- Hands-on experience with web technologies and protocols including RESTful APIs, JSON, and Protobuf.
- Strong written, spoken, technical, and interpersonal communication skills.
