Responsibilities

Write production-grade code for integrations, APIs, and data models connecting Couchbase with customer ecosystems.
Configure Couchbase Server, Capella, and Mobile products to optimize latency, throughput, and reliability.
Design and implement data architectures using Vector Search and RAG patterns for AI applications.
Embed with customer development teams, participate in sprints and code reviews, and guide implementation of engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot distributed systems issues, performance bottlenecks, deployment hurdles, and networking challenges.
Translate customer business requirements into technical milestones and accelerate time-to-value.
Provide product feedback to internal product and engineering teams based on customer usage.
Partner with Solution Engineers to demonstrate use cases and identify expansion opportunities.
Create reusable code samples, connectors, utilities, runbooks, and technical documentation.

At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or technical consulting.
Strong proficiency in at least two major programming languages, such as Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or C#.
Deep understanding of NoSQL concepts, distributed systems, and SQL-based query languages including N1QL.
Experience deploying large-scale distributed databases or data-intensive applications.
Ability to work with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and networking technologies such as VPCs, DNS, and load balancing.
Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to developers and executive stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively within customer environments and collaborate across customer, sales, product, and engineering teams.
