Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of Java and Spring Boot microservices and shared libraries.
- Define technical direction, make architectural decisions, establish engineering best practices, and ensure consistency across team solutions.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and reliable software using distributed-system, event-driven, Inbox/Outbox, and CQRS patterns.
- Mentor and coach engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
- Build and enhance frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript when required.
- Work with Oracle databases on schema design, query optimization, and backend integration.
- Improve observability, logging, monitoring, performance, CI/CD delivery, and production readiness.
Requirements
- Expert-level Java development experience with deep Spring Boot and Spring Security expertise.
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Development Lead with the ability to balance hands-on development and technical leadership.
- Strong experience with Maven, microservices, distributed systems, messaging systems such as Kafka and other MQ technologies.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, multithreading, concurrency, performance, and Java design patterns.
- Experience with Inbox/Outbox, event-driven design, and other integration and architectural patterns.
- Experience with Oracle databases, including schema design, query optimization, and Java integration.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and mentor engineers.
- Very good English language skills.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, React, Angular, Vue.js, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, LDAP, OIDC, or Kerberos is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps tooling, trunk-based development, backward-compatible design, release strategies, Agile environments, and distributed or cross-functional teams is advantageous.
