Responsibilities
- Develop backend systems that convert device data into accurate vulnerability matches.
- Maintain and operate backend services and pipelines, including deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
- Onboard vulnerability data sources with varied data and integration requirements.
- Improve vulnerability detection accuracy and reliability with cross-functional teams.
- Investigate false positives and false negatives and trace issues to their root causes.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported detection issues and implement efficient fixes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience with hands-on exposure to live production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs, such as with Django or FastAPI.
- Experience with databases and search or indexing datastores, including SQL, NoSQL, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability principles.
- Proficiency using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity safely.
- Preferred experience with vulnerability management, CVE/CPE data, or security-related tooling.
- Preferred familiarity with Linux, macOS, and Windows systems internals.
- Preferred experience with Redis or comparable caching solutions and exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Ability to understand unfamiliar codebases, work safely with dynamic real-world data, and trace technical issues to root causes.
