Responsibilities
- Define and level up the end-to-end workflow for creative disciplines.
- Collaborate with Technical Art and Engineering to support artist needs.
- Help maintain scalable artist tools and workflows for parallel production.
- Provide technical support to artists and collect data for tool improvements.
- Mentor other Technical Artists and participate in craft-focused events.
- Build relationships with artists and engineers to identify workflow improvements.
- Document processes and expand teams' technical knowledge.
- Give and receive constructive feedback to communicate clear goals.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience as a technical artist in games or related industries.
- Experience in content creation and tool development for DCC tools, especially Autodesk Maya and Substance Suite.
- Professional experience working in Unreal Engine 5.
- Highly proficient in Python tool development for artist use-cases.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as PySide & PyQt.
- Strong understanding of art workflows and ability to translate needs into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to act as an ambassador between art and engineering.
- Superb critical thinking skills for sustainable workflow design.
