Base Salary
$148k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and scale containerized workloads on Kubernetes clusters deployed in AWS GovCloud.
- Provision and automate infrastructure, configurations, and deployment pipelines using Terraform, Terragrunt, Docker, AWS, and Argo CD.
- Design and maintain air-gapped deployment methodologies for secure and isolated environments.
- Build and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for high availability and platform visibility.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed-systems, infrastructure, and network issues.
- Collaborate with development teams, security leaders, and cross-functional partners to deliver reliable platform outcomes.
- Implement enterprise security standards and maintain compliance with federal industry requirements.
- Write technical documentation, participate in architectural reviews, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining production cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, or platform engineering systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Terragrunt.
- At least 3 years of experience managing continuous delivery pipelines using Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- At least 3 years of experience with modern scripting or programming languages, preferably Go or Python.
- At least 3 years of experience independently leading technical initiatives, troubleshooting distributed systems, and mentoring junior engineers.
- U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph.
- Preferred qualifications include production experience with Kubernetes, AWS GovCloud, and Docker; air-gapped systems; monitoring and telemetry tools; federal security frameworks; and DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or higher certifications.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent military/practical engineering experience, is preferred.
