Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and test RPG-based business applications.
- Develop tools and programs that support business needs.
- Identify enhancement opportunities and document data flows and functional requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, memoranda, instructional manuals, and other program-development documentation.
- Install and maintain RPG/CL-based applications.
- Provide iSeries system operations knowledge and support.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with AS/400 COBOL 400 programming.
- Knowledge of AS/400, iSeries or System i, RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, ILE, RPG Free, CLLE, and CL.
- Knowledge of AS400 DB2 and SQL databases.
- Experience with output management tools such as Adobe and IBM mapping.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Fifteen years of full-time education is required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively.
- Distribution, transportation, or forwarding business experience is a plus.
