Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement Azure cloud solutions focused on automation, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps principles.
- Lead cloud platform projects from architecture and proof-of-concept through production deployment.
- Support migrations of on-premise workloads to Azure with attention to resilience, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain Azure DevOps YAML-based CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality checks.
- Build infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and Git-based workflows.
- Create PowerShell and AZ CLI automation scripts and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to cloud governance covering networking, identity, security, tagging, RBAC, and operational processes.
- Maintain monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, reliability, and security practices for cloud environments.
- Collaborate with application architects, developers, product managers, infrastructure engineers, and security teams.
- Provide technical input on solution designs, cloud patterns, and build and release strategies.
- Resolve Azure cloud issues and drive continuous improvement in DevOps maturity, tooling, and operating models.
- Document cloud environments, patterns, and processes.
- Coach and mentor less experienced developers and support capability development across teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of total experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services in a DevOps environment.
- Advanced experience building Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including YAML.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and AZ CLI.
- Understanding of cloud governance, security, networking, identity, RBAC, and resource organisation.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles including automation, observability, GitOps, and continuous delivery.
- Experience supporting cloud migrations from on-premise environments.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, or similar cloud monitoring and security tools.
- Familiarity with containerisation, Docker, AKS, and modern deployment patterns.
- Exposure to cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
- Understanding of .NET development environments and build pipelines.
