Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, analyze, test, debug, install, and support enterprise application systems.
- Design and implement quality business solutions in a highly dynamic, high-transaction computing environment.
- Analyze application performance, conduct tuning and measurement, and support reliability against documented SLAs.
- Participate in application design and architecture discussions and recommend improvements to system design.
- Identify vulnerabilities, security issues, application problems, and appropriate programming solutions.
- Collaborate with users, clients, technology groups, project teams, and team members to maintain technical alignment.
- Apply development standards, SDLC practices, coding frameworks, and Agile development processes.
- Participate in Sprint Planning, daily stand-ups, retrospective meetings, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Coach or advise new and lower-level analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry and intermediate applications development experience.
- The posting also states that candidates should have 6-9 years of experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications.
- Strong experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Spring Batch, JSP, Java Collections, multithreading, Hibernate, Oracle, SQL, and ORM technologies.
- Working knowledge of Bitbucket, SonarQube, Jenkins, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge of Docker and OpenShift is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication, problem-solving, decision-making, ability to work under pressure, and ability to manage deadlines or changing requirements.
- Experience participating in Agile development and architecture discussions.
