Base Salary
$123k - $154k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive AWS Bedrock runtime and gateway configuration for model access, cost attribution, content-filtering guardrails, model pinning, and quota management.
- Build, secure, patch, and operate self-hosted and managed MCP servers and maintain the MCP registry.
- Author MDM configuration payloads, Okta-to-IAM mappings, desktop client setup, and authentication flows in partnership with IT.
- Build AI- and agent-triggered automations such as approvals, spend alerts, and agent-initiated workflows.
- Own the technical direction, design standards, and patterns for the agent-hosting platform.
- Define health, safety, telemetry, reliability, cost, usage, and tiered-autonomy standards for agents and MCP servers.
- Build governance for data sensitivity, least privilege, auditability, sandboxing, and production-data protection.
- Align IT, Security, and DevX teams around written platform standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps, including production ownership of systems depended on by others.
- Hands-on AWS experience with IAM, ECS or Lambda, CloudWatch, and VPC.
- Full-stack experience with backend services, APIs, CI/CD, and containerized deployments.
- Ability to build MCP servers or API integrations from scratch rather than only configuring managed connectors.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and agent development, including having shipped an LLM-based system.
- Ability to independently resolve ambiguity and create impactful solutions.
- Willingness to own upgrades, credentials, quotas, and on-call responsibilities.
- Ability to exercise judgment about when to buy versus build.
