Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions with clients and identify needs, constraints, dependencies, and business objectives.
- Analyze RFPs, requirements, and user stories to identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and assumptions.
- Translate business and functional requirements into viable technical architectures and solutions.
- Define project scope, cloud infrastructure, team composition, and effort estimates for new projects.
- Prepare and validate technical quotations and proposals.
- Document environments, deployment strategies, acceptance criteria, test plans, and other technical proposal components.
- Assess existing code, platforms, and architectures to define modernization, migration, or evolution strategies.
- Design cloud, serverless, containerized, API-driven, event-driven, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Design and validate generative AI solutions involving RAG, agents, MCP, evaluations, and guardrails.
- Build or supervise demos and proofs of concept while ensuring technical quality and proposal alignment.
- Serve as a technical representative in presales activities and client meetings.
- Communicate technical concepts and architectures to technical and executive audiences.
- Conduct technical handoffs to delivery teams after project approval.
- Provide technical direction, resolve architecture questions, review technical decisions, and escalate complex technical challenges during implementation.
- Propose engineering practices, standards, and guidelines to strengthen the engineering function.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years leading technical teams or performing technical presales, solution architecture, or project estimation, ideally in consulting or a software factory.
- Direct client experience in discovery, solution definition, and proposal presentations.
- Experience estimating software projects and sizing multidisciplinary teams.
- Advanced applied generative AI experience with RAG, AI agents, MCP, AI solution evaluation, and guardrails.
- Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript experience, especially with Next.js and NestJS, and/or Python with FastAPI.
- Advanced use of Claude Code and Lovable for development, prototyping, and AI-assisted construction.
- Senior architecture experience on at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with serverless architectures, containers, cloud data services, and cloud AI services.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, AWS CDK, or equivalent technologies.
- Advanced relational and NoSQL database design and modeling, including schema migrations and versioning.
- Advanced REST API, GraphQL, and webhook design experience.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, queues, asynchronous processing, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience documenting architecture with C4 or equivalent, ADRs, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of cloud security and identity, including IAM, least privilege, SSO/OIDC, encryption, key management, and protection of exposed applications.
- Experience with CI/CD, static quality analysis, container deployment, and production troubleshooting.
- Current Associate-, Professional-, or equivalent-level cloud solutions architecture certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Desired qualifications include traditional machine learning, modeling, MLOps, managed machine-learning platforms, 2+ years of technical presales or Solutions Architect experience, mobile application development, and integrations with payment gateways, KYC, business messaging APIs, and productivity suites.
