Responsibilities

Drive software development lifecycle activities from requirements analysis through design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and documentation.
Support a vendor application used for payment processing.
Configure and deploy applications using WebSphere, manage lower environments, and support production support teams.
Translate user needs into technical specifications and facilitate technical requirements.
Develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain Java-based software applications.
Write and optimize SQL queries and perform application integration.
Handle incidents, problem management, root cause analysis, and fault remediation.
Ensure code and configurations meet security, logging, error handling, performance, and other non-functional requirements.
Evaluate new technologies and assess upstream, downstream, process, data, and risk impacts.
Follow release management and version-control processes and provide technical consulting and support.

Typically 5–7+ years of relevant on-the-job experience.
Advanced proficiency in Java programming.
Advanced proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Deep understanding of MQ servers, WebSphere, and Linux servers.
Experience handling incidents, problem management, and root cause analysis for Java-based applications.
Knowledge of application integration, test-driven development, system development lifecycle, troubleshooting, and system and technology integration.
Deep technical knowledge gained through extensive education and business experience, with leadership capability.
