Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and architecture strategy for enterprise AI services.
- Design, build, and optimize production AI services and distributed systems at scale.
- Lead technical design reviews, architectural decisions, and software engineering standards across AI teams.
- Design microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, data governance models, and integration patterns.
- Build resilient and secure cloud and on-premise systems for hosting AI services.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and machine learning teams on scalable AI systems.
- Mentor junior and staff engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and improve performance, caching, observability, monitoring, logging, and security.
- Design infrastructure for agentic AI systems and self-hosted machine learning model deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant distributed-systems and AI-service architecture expertise.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale production systems serving millions of transactions or requests.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices, architectural patterns, design reviews, and system optimization.
- Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and service-oriented architecture at enterprise scale.
- Expert proficiency in Python and Golang.
- Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OCP4.
- Experience optimizing performance at scale, implementing caching strategies, and tuning distributed systems.
- Experience deploying applications across AWS, Azure, hybrid-cloud, and on-premise environments.
- Expertise in data architecture, database design, SQL and NoSQL databases, and high-scale data access patterns.
- Knowledge of ML model serving, inference optimization, ML system design patterns, and MLOps.
- Experience designing infrastructure for agentic AI systems and self-hosted ML model deployment.
- Advanced expertise in observability, monitoring, logging, and security for distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
