Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices.
- Evolve services that power and monitor video streaming.
- Design robust, maintainable, and testable software solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, software engineers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Produce and communicate architecture and design for complex requirements.
- Create proofs of concept to demonstrate proposed designs.
- Mentor software engineers on design patterns, coding, and implementation standards.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience designing or architecting complex backend systems.
- Experience with Node.js and AWS is preferred.
- Ability to turn complex or ambiguous requirements into architecture and design proposals.
- Ability to collaborate proactively with stakeholders to clarify requirements and review designs.
- Ability to explain architecture to team members and guide them during implementation.
- Ability to code, contribute to feature implementation, and create proofs of concept.
- Experience mentoring software engineers in design patterns and coding standards.
