Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, high-performance Java backend applications and Spring Boot microservices.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs in accordance with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Develop Python and Flask prototypes, automation tools, lightweight services, or data-processing solutions.
- Define technical requirements, functional specifications, project plans, and software release schedules.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, technology, and end-user stakeholders on application and system architecture.
- Address audit, regulatory, security, risk, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and support training in development practices, code quality, and testing standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system stability, operational processes, automation, and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Hands-on backend development experience with Java 17 or later.
- Deep expertise in enterprise microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Framework technologies, especially Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, ORM tools such as Hibernate/JPA, and SQL query optimization.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle, Git, JUnit, Mockito, and unit/integration testing.
- Experience in financial services or a large, complex, and/or global enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience with operational process change, system stability, continuous improvement, analytical troubleshooting, and production support.
- Strong written and verbal communication, ownership, prioritization, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Python, Flask, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, GCP, and AWS SNS.
